MUDROOM/OFFICE FLEX SPACE

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS:

Built-In Elements

We transformed this hallway from an overkill mudroom locker bench system into a versatile hybrid space. Cutting the mudroom bench and battens in half, we created a cozy work-from-home office hub with prefabricated white cabinetry. High ceilings allowed for two rows of upper cabinets, maximizing vertical storage. The same granite used in the mudroom at the end of the hall ties the desk area seamlessly into the overall design. Electrical outlets were strategically placed to power a small lamp, computer, and printer housed in the nearby closet.

Furniture

The revamped space now features a stylish and functional desk area, perfect for working from home. Prefabricated cabinetry provides ample storage above and below the desk. The remaining mudroom bench includes cubbies for shoes and incidentals, blending practicality with design.

Decor

To infuse color and personality, we added baskets under each locker cubby and incorporated wall decor. The artwork is a mix of the owner's collection and fun additions like a black and white floral print set and a "bee"-themed message. This decor brings charm and character to the space, making it both functional and visually appealing.

Color Scheme

The color scheme is elegant and cohesive, with the white cabinetry and granite countertop creating a clean, modern look. The black and white floral prints and the "bee"-themed artwork add pops of color and whimsy, enhancing the overall aesthetic.

CONCLUSION:

This hallway makeover successfully blends functionality and style, creating a hybrid mudroom and work-from-home office hub. With clever built-in elements, practical furniture, and charming decor, this space now maximizes both utility and beauty. Ready to transform your home?
