TIMELESS & IMPACTFUL ENTRY UPGRADE
PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS:
Built-In Elements
In our first home, our entryway needed a lot of love, yet since we were on a corner lot and wouldn’t use this entrance daily, we wanted to update it without spending too much. We started by painting the space a welcoming light grey, aligning with our home’s color palette. To match the rest of the house, we painted the coat closet door black, creating a cohesive look. We updated the flooring with large format marble tiles, replacing the dated red squares and coordinating this tile with the fireplace in the adjacent room for a seamless flow. We added crown and base mouldings in a bright white, enhancing the small entry with a polished and elegant finish.
Decor
To add some oomph to the space, we installed a new light fixture. Originally from our master bedroom, this fixture’s light pattern was too distracting for a bedroom but perfect for creating a dramatic entry focal point. Its classy and beautiful design adds a touch of glamour, making the entryway feel special even with its low ceiling height.
Furniture
Since the space is small and primarily functional, we kept the furniture minimal. A chic welcome mat and a small console table for keys and mail were added, ensuring the entryway is both practical and stylish without overwhelming the area.
Color Scheme
The color scheme focuses on soft, welcoming tones with light grey walls and bright white mouldings. The black coat closet door adds a sophisticated contrast, tying in with the rest of the home’s design. The large format marble tiles introduce a touch of luxury, coordinating perfectly with the light fixture to create a harmonious and inviting entryway.
CONCLUSION:
This budget-friendly entryway makeover transformed a dated space into a chic and welcoming entrance. With thoughtful updates to paint, flooring, and lighting, we created a cohesive and stylish look without breaking the bank. Ready to refresh your home on a budget?
